In Soft Flow the biotechnological applications start with synthetic chemistry. Proteins, solid (polymer) carriers and small biologically active molecules have to be modified in order to use them in biological assays, or even in antibody production.

Conjugation chemistry is an essential tool in our hand. Our colleagues have strong interdisciplinary knowledge (biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biology) that is necessary for the successful completion of our projects.

Beyond precise design and synthetic work, our stakeholders require high purity products. To be able to purify and characterize our reagents, we use high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), mass spectroscopy (ESI-MS) and UV-Vis spectroscopy. For continuous internal development, we collaborate with leading academic research institutes.
