Our group delivers research excellence in developing binding agents for immunoassay based measurements in the food sector.

Activities in the Biology Team are build up around two core technologies, the antibody development and the recombinant protein expression in bacterial system. Our goal is to develop and produce the most suitable antibody by using the hybridoma technology - applying mice spleen cells and cancer cell line fusions. The clone selection and the characterization of the produced antibodies is performed with ELISA. We take advantage of the bacterial expression system and express several different recombinant proteins as well, based on our project requirements and feasibility.

We tackle the challenge of developing specific reagents for assay development, covering several fields in the agricultural industry, our reagents are applied as part of analytical measurement methods within FOSS instruments.
